1.      THREE WAYS TO ENTER: 

 

A.  From 12:01 a.m., E.T on 2/15/02 through 11:59 p.m., E.T on 4/30/02, each time you make a 1 -800-COLLECT telephone call originating and terminating in the United States and it is accepted by the Call Recipient, you and the Call Recipient will collectively receive one entry into the sweepstakes. Call Recipient is the person whose name appears on the telephone bill for the number to which the call was made.  Upon winner verification, Call Recipient will be asked to identify the individual who placed the selected call.  If the call recipient cannot identify the individual who placed the call, only the Call Recipient will be eligible.   Calls made within Alaska, within Puerto Rico, within the U.S Virgin Islands and between Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are not eligible.  

 

B.  Visit http://www.1800COLLECT.com/docs2/sub_win.html and follow directions to enter your date of birth, complete name, address, zip code, e-mail address and daytime and evening telephone numbers, and the same information (with the exception of the e-mail address) for a Friend or Relative.  You and the Friend or Relative you identify will collectively receive one entry into the sweepstakes.  (If you or the Friend or Relative you are referring do not have a phone, indicate “No Phone”. Failure to comply with this or any other Official Rule will result in disqualification). In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (i.e., the person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address).  Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., ET on 4/30/02.  Limit one entry per person/per e-mail address.

 

           

C.  On a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper, hand print your date of birth, complete name, address, zip code, and daytime and evening telephone numbers and the same information for a Friend or Relative.  You and the Friend or Relative you identify will collectively receive one entry into the sweepstakes.  (If you or the Friend or Relative you are referring do not have a phone, indicate “No Phone”.  Failure to comply with this or any other Official Rule will result in disqualification). Mail your entry in a hand-addressed, #10 envelope, with first-class postage affixed, to: MCI Britney Spears Concert Entries, P.O. Box 4163, Blair, NE 68009-4163, to be received by 5/6/02.  Limit one entry per envelope.  All entries become property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.  

 

2.      RANDOM DRAWING: Ten winning entries will be selected by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final, in a random drawing on or about 5/7/02 from among all eligible entries received.  If a potential winning entry is the result of a 1-800-COLLECT call, the Caller and Call Recipient will each be eligible for a prize.  If a winner is selected via an on-line or mail-in entry, the entrant and the Friend or Relative identified on the entry form will each be eligible for a prize.  Winners will be notified by telephone and mail.  In the event that the Call Recipient cannot be identified by the Caller, only the Call Recipient will be eligible for a prize.  Three attempts will be made to reach potential winners.  If potential winner is not reached or does not respond after three attempts, he/she will be disqualified and an alternate may be selected.  Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received.

 

3.      PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: A total of twenty (20) prize packages will be awarded.  Each prize package will consist of:  Two concert tickets to see Britney Spears at a Spring/Summer 2002 concert location nearest winner’s home, two sound check passes and two gift packs to include a Britney Spears T-shirt, hat, lithograph, tour book and CD (approximate retail value for each prize package:  $250.00 ea.). Transportation to/from concert is not included.  Prizes consist of only those items specifically listed as part of the prize.   In the event the Britney Spears concert nearest the winner’s home is cancelled for any reason, no prize will be awarded.  If the selected winner entered via a 1-800-COLLECT call, the Caller and Call Recipient will each receive one prize package.  If the selected winner entered via an online or mail in entry, the Entrant and the Friend or Relative identified by the Entrant will each receive one prize package.

 

4.     GENERAL RULES: Sweepstakes open only to residents of the U.S (except Florida), who are 13 years of age or older as of 2/15/02.  Void in Florida and where prohibited by law.  All employees of sponsor who are directly involved with the planning/implementation of this promotion, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising, and promotion agencies and the immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.  Any federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winners. Potential winners must execute Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form within 5 days of attempted notification.  Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate may be selected.  If winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence, parent/legal guardian must sign and return Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form and must accompany minor to concert. Sponsor is not responsible if a concert is cancelled for any reason.   Sponsor is not responsible for misdirected e-mail or for any technical problems, malfunctions of any telephone lines, computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof.  The sponsor is not responsible for any damage to any participant’s computer system/software related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this promotion.  CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW.  SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes cannot be conducted as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which impair or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the promotion.  In the event of a termination, a notice will be posted and a random drawing will be held from among all eligible entries received prior to the time of termination. By acceptance of prize, winners consent to use of their name, photograph and other likeness for purpose of advertising, trade and promotion on behalf of the sponsor without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.  By accepting prize, winners agree to hold sponsors, their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use or receipt of prize.  Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of prize.  Rules are subject to any requirements/limitations imposed by the FCC. By participation in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and decisions of the judges.
